Vineland High School New Jersey will induct its 2013 Hall of Fame class included

Eric Reissek, Class of 1998

Reissek thrived as a pole vaulter for Vineland’s track teams in 1997 and ’98. He helped the Fighting Clan win a county title in 1997, during which he won the pole-vault crown. He was also the CAL and South Jersey pole vault champion that year too. In 1998, Reissek won the state title in the pole vault during the indoor season, and in the spring he was part of a Vineland team that won conference and sectional crowns. Reissek set the school record in the event that year with a height of 14 feet, 7 inches, and won the Group IV state championship. Reissek went on to Stockton State College, where he was the New Jersey Athletic Conference and Eastern College Athletic Conference pole vault champion in both 2001 and 2002 and also earned NCAA Division III All-American honors both seasons. Reissek is the all-time record holder in the pole vault in both the NJAC and ECAC. more
