Jamaican athletes’ blood tested in Moscow pre-Champs camp–MONTEGO BAY, St James — All 44 members of Jamaica’s team to the 14th IAAF World  Championships were tested for drugs at their Moscow pre-championships training  camp yesterday, merely hours after the latest set of athletes entered the camp,  ahead of Saturday’s start of the Championships.

Multiple suspensions “signal of how seriously Turkey taking doping” claims Erdener–August 5 – More than 30 athletes were suspended today by the Turkish Athletics Federation (TAF) as the country’s drugs crisis deepened.  But Uğur Erdener, President of the National Olympic Committee of Turkey, claimed that the banning of 31 athletes for two years, who included hammer thrower Eşref Apak, the 2004 Olympic silver medallist, marked a watershed in the country’s fight against doping.  more
