In his first trip to the state, senior Andrew Koksal took fifth in the boys pole vault, clearing 14-feet-10. He narrowly missed on each of his three passes at 15-2, which would have put him into second place. “It’s nerve-racking because there are a lot of kids that are better than you and a lot of kids that you are better than,” he said. “You go into this meet thinking somebody is going to bomb and somebody is going to PR (personal record) by a lot.” While Koksal didn’t better his personal best (15-0), he said he was happy with how his senior season ended, especially after missing on his first two attempts at his first height of 13-6. more
