Ball State vaulters perform at PV Convention

This past weekend, Ball State indoor track & field sent select student-athletes to the second annual Pole Vault Convention host by Akron, which featured some of the nation’s top young pole vaulters.at Stile Athletics Field House.

Freshman Elizabeth Eversole (Mishawaka, Ind./Marian) led the Cardinals in the competition portion of the event, tying for 23rd overall by successfully clearing a career-best height of 11′-0.75″ (3.37m), which is the third-best individual effort in program history. Freshman Megan Dearlove (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community) tied for 42nd overall with a vault of 9′-7″ (2.92m), while freshmen Rachael Walker (Indianapolis, Ind./Brebeuf) and Becca Carpenter (South Bend, Ind./St. Joseph’s) each cleared 9′-1″ (2.77m) to finish 50th and 51st, respectively.

The Ball State indoor track & field team returns to action Saturday, when it travels to Bowling Green, Ohio, for the Mel Brodt Invitational.
