Grand Canyon University head men’s and women’s track and field coach Tom Flood today announced the program’s 2014 recruiting class, the first season for the squad as members of the Division I Western Athletic Conference. Vaulters are:
Jenny Rolph, a freshman jumper/pole vaulter, was the 2013 Division II Arizona State Championship runner-up in both the pole vault and long jump for Liberty High School. She won the pole vault competition at the state championships in 2012.Best: 12′ 1″ (pole vault); 18′ 1.75″ (long jump); 58.75 (400-meters) “We are very excited to have Jenny in our program. She is another multi-talented athlete with tremendous potential. Michael Bolligar joins the squad from Washington State University, where he competed in the multi-events. He owns the second-best heptathlon mark in the Cougars program history. Bolligar was the 2011 NJCAA Indoor Heptathlon and Outdoor Decathlon Champion with Glendale Community College.
