Linda Kuenzi pole vault correctLinda Kuenzi is aBarrett Honors College student majoring in aerospace engineering and carrying a 4.0 gpa. She is also a world-class pole vaulter on the Arizona State University track team. She was named to the Pac-12 All-Academic 1st Team twice, is in a three-way tie for 7th place in all-time outdoor ASU records, and 8th in all-time indoor ASU records. Her honors project is building a test system for an astronomy instrument for an instructor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration. Her future goals are just as lofty as her accomplishments thus far.“I plan to go into industry after graduating. My passion is space exploration, so I would like to work for a company that develops manned or robotic spacecraft for science missions.  Ideally I would participate in a rotational program to explore several options within aerospace engineering.  After identifying a more specific focus in a few years, I would like to pursue a graduate degree,” she said. Here is more of what she has to say in her own words about being an honors student and an athlete.

Where are you from? What is your home town?

Born and raised in Kansas!  I grew up in Lenexa, a suburb of Kansas City.
