I am a Pole Vaulter, and I’m currently a senior in high school and I was contacted about half way through my junior by the naval academy because of the success I had earned the previous year as a sophomore reaching 14ft in Pole Vaulting. I maintained contact and before I applied to see if I qualify as a candidate I hit a new record of 16ft and a little bit later was accepted as a candidate. my grades are A’s and B’s. im in the top 20% of my class, im part of a community service club (junior year I was secretary and this year im VP), im also very active within my church, and I nearly scored a perfect of my CFA, my BGO seemed to love my character and even told me that I was exactly what they wanted. I ended my junior year with a high possibility of clearing 17ft and for sure 16ft 6in. Is this good enough for the academy’s sports? enough to recruit me? I was second in state my junior by 2 inches and I think I was 14th in the country I believe (for high school)

You should also contact your Congress member since they make appointments. There are athletic scholarships known as Vice Presidential appointments. If clear 17 feet in high school that is good enough. more
