CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati women’s track and field head coach Susan Seaton was named Coach of the Year the Department of Athletics announced Monday.The 2012-13 season, which marked Seaton’s ninth year at UC, was highlighted by Mackenzie Fields winning both the BIG EAST indoor and outdoor pole vault titles, and Emelie Larsson capturing the BIG EAST javelin title. Fields was named Second Team All-American for indoor track and field, while both she and Larsson picked up All-BIG EAST honors for the outdoor season.A coach with a team-oriented and family-focused philosophy, Seaton continues to coach student-athletes that rewrite the UC record books.
