GREENSBORO — The town of Greensboro at its meeting Thursday, June 5, recognized three residents, including a high school student for athletic achievement and two employees for stepping up and doing the right thing.
North Caroline High School freshman Devin Robinson was first presented with a plaque in recognition of his accomplishments as a pole vaulter on both the indoor and outdoor track teams.
Over the winter indoor track and field season, Robinson placed second in the pole vault at the Bayside Conference meet, and finished 11th in the state meet. During the outdoor track and field season this spring, Robinson won the pole vault at the Bayside Conference meet, clearing 10 feet.
At the same time, Robinson maintained a grade point average above 3.5, which earned him a Minds in Motion award at the end of the season.
