The 20-year-old Johorean rewrote his own national record of 5.10m which he set at the Myanmar Sea Games last year where he won the silver medal. with a new mark of 5.15m to retain his Sukma pole vault title.
However, Iskandar’s golden effort in the Sukam may have come a bit too late and he may not find himself in the team to the Commonwealth Games after his disastrous outing in Melbourne.
