Redshirt senior Josh Dangel broke the University of Cincinnati’s 20-year old pole vault record on the opening day of the All-Ohio Championships at Gettler Stadium. Dangel cleared the record-setting bar of 17’ 10.25” on his second attempt and was crowned the All—Ohio Champion for the second consecutive year. The senior broke Mike Albrinck’s record of 17’ 9.75” which was set in 1994. Albrinck served as Dangel’s high school coach at LaSalle. UC also garnered points from Colt Robinson, Dillon Risser and Nathan Alexander in the vault. Robinson claimed fourth with a big person-record height of 16’ 6.5”, while Risser took fifth and Alexander finished seventh, respectively. more
