United Kingdom — In this Masterclass, Greg Hull takes a look at the specific requirements of coaching female pole vaulters. The presentation will take a general overview of the women’s event and look at the specific requirements of beginner, school-age and elite female vaulters.
Greg Hull is the former USA Track and Field Director of Pole Vault, a USA Track and Field Master Coach and the UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit Director of Coaching. Greg is a longtime deliverer on the National Coach Development Programme going back to 2008 and 2010 Masterclass sessions, and has also presented at the renowned European Pole Vault Conference in Cologne, Germany many times.
Greg’s coaching success has seen him coach Nick Hysong to the Olympic Gold medal In Sydney, former Olympic and USA record holder Stacy Dragila, former world indoor record holder Melissa Mueller and, more recently, Kelsie Hendry (Canadian Record Holder), Tori Pena (irish record holder), and American Champion in 2011 Kylie Hutson. In all he has coached over twenty 4.30 female vaulters and brings a wealth coaching and coach mentoring experience with him.
