NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Three Atlantic 10 Conference Student-Athletes were named All-Americans based on their performance at this past weekend’s 2014 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. George Mason’s Mandissa Marshall (Pole Vault) was named First Team All-American, while La Salle’s Meghan McGlinchey (5,000 meters) and VCU’s Kiara Porter (400 meters) were named Second Team All-Americans. Marshall, a senior from Mountain Top, Pa., wrapped up her indoor season with an eighth place finish at the NCAA Track and Field Indoor National Championships with a height of 4.25m (13’11 ¼) and was named to the Indoor Track and Field All-American First team. Marshall became the first female NCAA pole vault All-American at Mason and is also the first female to earn points at the NCAA championships in pole vault. more
