After finding her with a horrific head injury and thigh wound, the radiologist desperately tried to save her.He lives a few houses away from Mr Pistorius’ home, and told the court that he had earlier heard a woman screaming “like she was scared out of her mind”; he also heard gunshots.On arrival at the house, Mr Stipp found the athlete kneeling over his girlfriend, trying to open her airway; afterwards he pleaded for God to save her.In court, Mr Pistorius, visibly disturbed by this testimony, sat with his ears covered, crying. A neighbor of Oscar Pistorius has told his murder trial he found the South African Paralympic star praying over the body of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp as she lay dying.In the trial’s first account of the moments after the shooting, Johan Stipp said he tried to revive Ms Steenkamp.During Dr Stipp’s testimony, Mr Pistorius cried and seemed to retch.The double amputee denies intentionally killing her, saying he mistook the 29-year-old model for an intruder.
