Now competing for Box Hill, 18-year-old Lawson narrowly missed the Commonwealth B-qualifying mark of 4.10m at the Victorian open carnival but is in top form and hopes to achieve it soon. She is one of Australia’s top three under-20 female vaulters and ranked number five at senior level. With the world junior titles in the US, Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and Youth Olympics in China all in the second half of 2014, Lawson is in with a good chance of making an Australian team. She also heads to Taiwan soon for an all-expenses-paid showcase competition. source
