West Chester University sophomore Devan Kerecman (Holy Cross) set a school indoor track and field record in the pole vault Saturday at the Kutztown University Last Chance Invitational. Kerecman cleared 11 feet, 4¼ inches to place fourth and surpass the school record of 11-¼ set in 2012 by Kamber Schrann. It is also the second-highest vault in West Chester history. Only the outdoor mark of 11-5¾ by Lori Belinski in 2006 is higher. – In the men’s pole vault at Kutztown, Moravian sophomore Ryan Karnopp (Tunkhannock) won with a personal-best height of 16 feet. It is the fourth straight meet in which he won the event. For his performance, Karnopp was named the Landmark Conference men’s indoor field Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday. more
