Georgia –Carson Dingler, a member of the FPD girls track & field team, has been making noise at the national level, recently setting a new American record in the pole vault for fourteen-year-olds at a national meet in Birmingham on Sunday, February 9. Only a freshman, Dingler recorded a jump of 12 feet, eight inches at the event, besting the record of 12’7″ that stood for over fifteen years. “We are excited for Carson and her accomplishments,” head girls track coach April Cassell said. “We are thrilled to have her on our team and are looking forward to seeing more success from her in the years ahead.” source
